              Social Butterflies' Policies
Social Butterflies ships butterflies overnight via UPS or FedEx. We are not
responsible for lost or late shipments due to the overnight carriers. In the very
rare case of a butterfly expiring before its release, you may send it back to Social
Butterflies for a partial refund.
In case of inclement weather (hard rain or
temperatures below 60 degrees), butterflies will not fly. You may purchase an
inexpensive cage ($15-$20) in which you can keep your butterflies until you
are able to release them. Social Butterflies is not responsible for the weather.
You will be provided an invoice if requested and asked to sign and return it if you
are paying via credit card.

Occasionally it may be necessary for Social Butterflies to order your butterflies
from another reputable butterfly breeder, to ship to you. You can be assured that
you will receive the same excellent quality butterflies. Thank you for your
understanding.

Monarch emailing
Monarch with glassine envelope
Butterflies are packed securely in
glassine envelopes where they are able
to breathe.  They are then placed in a
small styrofoam cooler with a frozen cold
pack underneath them to keep them
inactive and resting during shipment.
